- Q. Are you open to non-residents?
- A.
Non-residents are more than welcome to join you for dinner; please let us know in advance so that we may prepare.
Have you got a special event coming up? We are happy to cater for small groups, please get in touch to discuss a suitable menu.
Kiltearn House is also the ideal setting for a small business meeting or conference. The guest lounge can be booked, for the afternoon or day, for small business meetings or training events.
- Q. Can I bring my own alcohol?
- A.
Licensing Laws are very strict and we ask guests to refrain from consuming their own alcohol in the guest house and in the grounds.
- Q. Can I smoke in the house?
- A.
A no smoking policy is essential for the comfort of all our guests. It is illegal to smoke within the guest house and any smoking would consequently trigger the fire alarm.
- Q. Can we book the whole of Kiltearn House?
- A.
Being a small intimate guest house, it is the ideal place for group bookings.
- Q. Can we return late in the evening?
- A.
For the comfort and safety of our guests we lock up at 11pm but will close later if requested.
- Q. Do you accommodate children?
- A.
Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to accommodate children under the age of 12.
- Q. Do you accommodate pets?
- A.
Whilst being animal lovers ourselves, sorry, in deference to other guests we cannot take pets in the house.
- Q. Do you have a drinks license?
- A.
We have a select range of wines and spirits together with a courtesy bar for beers and soft drinks.
- Q. I have special dietary requirements. Is that a problem?
- A.
We try our best to cater for special dietary requirements were possible. Please enquire when booking, so that we may prepare in advance.
- Q. Is there a hairdryer/iron/ironing board available?
- A.
Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with DVD player, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
An iron and ironing board are available upon request, along with a small selection of personal care items which you may have forgotten to pack.
- Q. Is there disabled access?

We do not have any ground floor rooms.
- Q. Is there wireless internet access?
- A.
Yes we have wireless internet running throughout the guest house, which is free for guests to access
- Q. What is there to do locally?
- A.
We are ideally located for fishing, hunting, cycling, walking, bird watching and car travel. We are more than happy to help plan your itinerary if required.
- Q. What time is breakfast?
- A.
Generally breakfast is between 8-9am but we are very flexible if you need an early start.
- Q. When can I check in?
- A.
Guests can check in from 4 pm on the day of arrival and should endeavour to check out by 10 am on the day of departure. We will make every effort to be flexible and accommodate any special requests.
